Beautiful view from the plane before landing on Naga airportFirst stop..................... LEGAZPI CITY
Outside Naga airport, there are lots of vans around. You will see barkers/drivers offering their vehicles and bring you to the place you want to go. Since I was not able to research that much, on how to commute so I could save money, I accepted the offer wherein I will be paying P150. The van is bound for Naga, and we need to wait for three more passengers. TIP: Outside the airport, you can ride a tricycle, tell the driver to bring you to the highway. From the highway, you can wait for the jeepneys passing by bound for SM Naga. Fare would be P20 for the tryc and less than P20 also for the jeep. NAGA to LEGAZPI There is a van terminal infront of SM NAGA bound for Legazpi city. For less than 2 hours and 100php, you can reach Legazpi. Cheap Accommodations in Legazpi CityFor cheap hotels/inn in Legazpi, you may visit the link below for you to be guided: http://wowlegazpi.com/tag/budget-hotel/ I checked in at Sampaguita Tourist Inn. This cheap inn is really good for backpackers and for those who are really looking for cheap accommodation. I took a fan room for only 350-400 php per night. The room is okay, with its own cr and TV but it is a little hot even though there is an electric fan. You may also choose an aircon room, it is not so expensive as well. Take a look at the pictures below: Tourist Spots in Legazpi City
The sky did not really permit me to take a very clear picture of Mayon. This is the best that I have. Nevertheless, seeing it is already a wonderful experience! Caramoan Getaway! From Legazpi city, I rode a bus goign to Naga. From Naga, specifically near SM Naga, there is a terminal of vans that travels going to the port which is the jump off for Caramoan. It took me 2 hours to reach the port, and if I remember it right, it took me also more than an hour to reach Caramoan. I hired a tricycle that brought me to the house of the boatman. I rented a room in their house for only P300 per night. I highly recommend Kuya Ramil. He is very kind, same as his wife, and very accommodating. https://www.facebook.com/caramoantourpackage/info?tab=overview I was not so lucky during that time. The battery of my camera was almost empty, there was a power interruption during that time in the area and I NEED TO START THE ISLAND HOPPING in a little while. In short, I only had few pictures taken. I only chose the cheaper island tour (those near islands only) because I only had few hours left for that day and it's cheaper.
