Before the end of my PANAY tour, I was able to do a side trip to Kalibo and Roxas city. I only spent one day for each city. I just chose the most famous attractions to visit so I could save my time and money. This freedom shrine is located near the hostel where I stayed. To enjoy the city, one must wear his/her slippers and take a walk. Through this, you'll get to enjoy and know more the city. I hired a tricycle going to Bakhawan eco-park, this is one of the tourist spots that can be visited easily from the town. You'll surely enjoy the view of the mangroves especially if you are fond of walking. You can really observe that this Bakhawan park is newly built or I guess just well-maintained. Since I visited the day before All Saints day, I noticed that there's only few tourists. It's so refreshing to see hundreds of Bakhawan tree, symbolizing new hope and a better future for the nature As I continued walking and taking pictures, I was able to reached this part wherein a bridge connects both ends of the path. There's also a beautiful river in the area and I find this part of park the MOST BEAUTIFUL and INTERESTING one. At the end, the view of the beach will welcome you. There were some workers doing something, I just don't know if they are also the ones who will assist you if you want to try eating that famous larvae from the woods. After an hour of staying and resting near the beach, I decided to leave the place. Outside the Eco-park, I hailed again a tricycle and asked the driver to bring me to the town; specifically to the church.
